Our corner of the Hudson Valley remains agricultural in nature though many of the beautiful farms we see while driving around are no longer viable in the current economy. We feel very fortunate to have working farms and artisanal food producers in our area who continue to be stewards of the land and work with their hands to produce food that we can all enjoy.

We have chosen farms and food producers for this website based on the quality of their products. These are foods that we enjoy eating and that we think represent the best of what our area has to offer. We try to support smaller farms and producers who do not have exposure at supermarkets or who produce in very small amounts. We have also chosen producers who feel strongly about sustainability and preserving farmland and farming traditions.  We have all become very interested in where our food comes from so we thought you might like to meet the people who are growing and making the food that we offer for sale on the Rusty Tractor Farm Market website.
